The Land connects you to the Creator

“There is a belief that when you live on the land there is a special relationship with the land. The land was created by our Creator and when you have a special relationship with the land, you have a special relationship with The Creator himself.

When you are out on the land, you have to do everything for yourself. And when you are on the land you are often alone. There is nobody there to help you. You are independent.

Surviving from the land isn’t easy. I did that for 12 years full time. You have to learn how to survive. You have to learn how to find the wildlife and then how to catch the wildlife and then how to use the wildlife to survive.

There is this belief among hunters that when you are alone in the bush, you are not truly alone. There’s someone who watches over you. There is someone who provides for you – The Creator.”
