On the weekend of August 25th-26th, 2017, the Fur Institute of Canada (FIC) was able to attend the Ontario Fur Managers Federation (OFMF) Annual Meeting. It was a opportunity to get out and meet out members and talk to many people about the things we work on and what we do for them.

We were also able to meet a lot of interesting people and the booth gave us the chance to share with them the work we do. We made sure to have the certified trap list on hand which allowed for many discussions on how to make traps better. We also talked to them about what they need and what we can do for them.

The event was great as many different organizations were all in the same room for two days; government organizations, fur councils from the area and many artisans and artists were also on hand. This once again illustrated the strength of this industry and some of the great work that people in your area are doing on the land.

The Fur Industry is strong and once again the people in Ontario showed it.

Thanks for a great event.
