Trappers are always working to improve the environments they work in. At the Zoo de Granby (Granby, Quebec) some groundbreaking work was done on research projects and conservation initiatives in the wild and at the zoo often times working very closely with trappers. They shared their Annual Report from 2016 to discuss the work they are doing.
The zoo works closely with trappers for research and in collaboration with the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks they were able to carry out important work on species identification and genetic analysis.
This is just one example of the great work trappers across the country are doing.
